The Mobius Photonics Rainbow Laser System is a fiber-based source of user-switchable, visible-wavelength laser pulses.
This short-pulse, high-repetition-rate, fiber laser system comprises a master-oscillator, fiber amplifier that pumps a uniquely configured Raman laser. The result is a system designed to produce nine discrete wavelengths of visible light from 532 to 654 nm, making it useful for stimulating the fluorescent markers used in super-resolution microscopy applications.
The Rainbow systemís individual wavelengths can be switched on-the-fly and the systemís 1-ns pulses are a good match to dye fluorescence lifetimes. Typical pulse energies are 5 nJ per pulse, facilitating ultra-high-resolution image generation. A repetition rate of up to 20 MHz enables fast image acquisition. The Rainbow system can be externally triggered, which allows electronic synchronization to another laser source near 20 MHz.
The Mobius Rainbow system is air cooled and designed for long life operation. Its compact laser head is ideal for integration into microscope set-ups. The systemís modular architecture further enables integration, field servicing and system upgrades.
Mobius Rainbow lasers have been designed for RoHS and WEEE compliance.
