The Mobius Photonics G1R2 Laser System is a fiber-based source of visible-wavelength laser pulses.

G1R2 is a short-pulse, high-repetition-rate laser system based on a master-oscillator, fiber-power-amplifier (MOFPA) architecture. This unique laser source generates narrow bandwidth pulses that are suitable for wavelength conversion to the second harmonic at 532 nm.

Tailored for super-resolution microscopy applications, the G1R2's second harmonic output can be Raman-shifted in standard fiber to produce a comb spectrum of visible wavelengths optimal for the excitation and de-excitation of a variety of fluorescent markers. Users can switch between wavelengths on-the-fly. The system's tunable 1- to 2-ns pulses are a good match to dye fluorescence lifetimes. High pulse energies enable ultra-high-resolution image generation and a repetition rate of up to 20 MHz allows rapid image acquisition.

The G1R2 system is air cooled. It produces diffraction-limited output over a range of user-adjustable pulse repetition frequencies, pulse widths and duty cycles. The beam's spatial properties, such as beam diameter and beam pointing, are largely independent of the system operating parameters.

Mobius' G1R2 laser has been designed for RoHS and WEEE compliance.
